The 7720 John Deere Titan II Combine or Harvester has an excellent reputation. This model comes with both a grain, and a corn header. (Some farmers like to have both. it depends on the crops they choose to grow.
I do have another identical combine, but with only a corn header. You may order one or the other. Or, if you wish, both sets.
The hopper capacity of the 7720 is said to be 190 bushels, however one owner complained that then it would have to be very heavy wheat and shoveled to the corners, but that he was never able to get 190 bushels into the hopper. So that may be an estimate of a factory-worker who made the hopper, but was not a farmer.
In 1927 Deere introduces its first combine, uniting the harvesting and threshing methods into a single operation. They sold for approximately $2,000.
There is a 7 page PDF booklet ready to read at this link: https://www.deere.com/assets/pdfs/region-1/publications/plowshare-issue43.pdf It has a very interesting time-line showing how John Deere went from horse-drawn harvesting equipment to the self-propelled combines and harvesters. These became more and more popular and changed the face of farming in the USA and Canada.
Someone from the John Deere Works plant has said that their combines last about 17 years, and may have 5 different owners. - But, then I saw also, that the ones from the years 2020-2022 can go for prices like $500,000 to $780,000. (Yikes! I'm glad I don't have to pay their mortgages!)
Since I'm having to remind myself which is which, I'll sell these models on separate pages. This page has the Combine/Harvester with both the corn header and the grain header for $50.00. See this other page for the Combine/Harvester with just a corn header. Either header can be put on with a push onto the two plastic prongs at the front. This one is priced at $50.00.
