500 Case Vintage Diesel Orange Tractor 1/43 scale

This smart-good-as-new orange (or red?) tractor is modeled after the original from the 1950s, but it seems to continue as a vintage show-piece. It is the 500 Case diesel tractor in 1/43 scale. This particular model does not have it's original packaging, so I will sell it as a toy. But also as one of Tom's Favourites.

In trying to find out more background for this model, I discovered that there are many keen collectors who have barns full of vintage tractors and that they invest all kinds of time and money to refurbish them into a perfect running state. That's the faithful working farming tractors. I even saw a video about a team of 4 teens who worked together for hundreds of hours to restore a 500 Case Tractor and won a fantastic award in FFA (Future Farmers of America).

Although my brother Tom, did not get to be a farmer (we did grow up on a farm as little kids), he was a farm machinery mechanic until he lost his ability to walk and ended up in a wheelchair. I do believe this 500 Case International tractor was his favourite. (I think he had more of them!) He also bought up many other pieces of equipment that would work nicely as complete sets. You will notice that this tractor acts as a prop in the photos for the other equipment pieces.

Tom was not the only one who really liked this tractor. When I check online and on sites like eBay, people are buying and selling this tractor left and right.
