It appears that this car was something extra special when it came out in 1969. Even the diecast models based on this classic muscle car were in hot demand in several scales. I've just seen one on eBay with a huge colourful surfboard attached over the trunk and area where a roof would normally be. That one is also in the 1:32 scale. But another place has a model in the 1:18 scale which is priced at over $449 and is called a toy for men.
As you can see from the photos, this car still looks pretty sharp though it has seen some 'handling'. It's doors and hood open up for closer inspection. Notice too, that the mufflers are under the doors, not under the rear of the car.
I've just discovered something unusual; it can drive forward easily enough, but if you pull it in reverse the tires balk and refuse to roll. If the full-sized car was made like that it would be especially geared for drivers who don't like to go back - always forward and onward!
I notice the colour is a very sunny yellow. I have not seen that on other models or even other years of Corvette's, so it must have been discontinued to make it unique to the '69 Corvette!
