Winross Maroon Freightliner and Tanker Truck, 2002 with original Box

This precise model freightliner has a sleeper cab in the tractor with stacks behind it. It pulls a Trimac tanker, all in the 1:64 scale, a complete 18-wheeler, and when hooked up measures 11 inches or 28 cm in length.

Winross, which makes models for companies to use as their own special promotional items, often for an anniversary, seems to have made one for 1994 and some other models, as in researching this one, I found a number of models for sale of the 1994 version, also some that were definitely shorter and had the cab or tractor and the tanker all as one joined unit. Other differences I noticed was that this model has the logo Trimac centered on the side of the tanker with a red and white dashed line underneath for the full length of the tanker. That's true on both sides. this tractor/cab has a maroon running board under the doors instead of the round tank (for gas?) as the other older models show.

It pays to examine the photos carefully. I've provided eight pictures for you to study.

This Trimac truck and tanker is in new condition and comes in the Winross gift box.

Winross is a diecast model truck producer based in Churchville, New York, just west of Rochester. The company was started in 1963 to make models of White brand trucks. Winross was the pioneer in 1/64 scale promotional model semi-tractor-trailer trucks. The trucks were known for their wide variety of logos and promotional ads on their sides. (I've even seen some that promoted various leaders in USA Presidential elections!) Over time big working trucks have become more sophisticated and the company has moved into silk screen printing for a variety of products. That means the graphics on the trucks are of the highest quality, and all the parts of each truck are scaled perfectly.

These models are not intended as toys but as collector items.
