It is hard to find what exactly a black farm truck, like this one, won at what used to be the Louisville Farm Show in Louisville, Kentucky. From the logo on the yellow truck box, it must have been a good win for the owner.
The Louisville Farm Show began in 1963 as an electricity demonstration and exhibit. It quickly gained momentum and was renamed the National Farm Machinery Show in 1969.
Also started in 1969 is the annual Championship Tractor Pull, where drivers battle it out for a share of $200,000, as well as the fame and glory of winning. That became very popular and continues to draw crowds, now under the umbrella of the National Farm Machinery Show.
However, this black farm truck and the award or whatever it won in 1992 is still a mystery to me. Perhaps you know this story and would be willing to share it. You may even want this particular model as your memorial of that time.
Since I don't know it's true value, I may be seriously undercutting the right price! But that makes it your good catch!
