This red diecast model is of the International Harvester's Disc Harrow with Folding wings, in the 1:64 scale. Brand new these can cost about $53. I have 3 identical models here that are in excellent shape.

These have folding wings, so that while driving down a country road to the right field, you do not tie up all traffic in both directions. For such transport to and from the farm, it is a matter of lifting up the wings, making the harrow about half the width on the road.

I understand that in the earlier years, these wings had to be lifted up manually. One young fellow bragged that he had been able to do it, but it was quite strenuous.

The newer models now come with the lifting or lowering of the disc wings all done automatically at the press of a button.

Though these models are in excellent shape - they are not in their original packaging, and their wings have to be raised or lowered manually, so they are priced at $14.00 each.
