Johnny Lightning Tri-Chevy - 1955 Chevy Nomad in Handsome Black is a part of this six-piece collection of Tri-Chevys from the years, 1955, 1956, and 1957. The body and chassis are made of diecast metal, with a detailed engine and interior. This set is specially designed for the adult collector.

A word about the colour; I'm usually quick to notice various shades, but sometimes it is harder to tell what to call it. On this model I've noticed that some call it a charcoal colour. I'm sort of inclined to agree for the lower body, but the top is definitely black. Some describe this car as being light black. So I guess colour is in the eyes of the beholder.

The models that make up this collectors set are;

a 1955 Chevy Nomad (this model, in fact, there is also a red one with white top)

a 1956 Chevy Bel Air

a 1957 Chevy Bel Air

The cars in this collection sometimes go by the nickname, Ragtops and Nomads. At present I have the 1955 Chevy Nomad in black, as you see here, and also in red with a white top, so either one of these, plus the ’56 Chevy Bel Air convertible (if still in stock) would start you with two from this set.
